The exhibition gathers all of Jan van Eyck's portraits in one place, which the gallery says has never happened before. It runs in the Ground Floor Galleries from 21 November 2026 to 11 April 2027 and is a ticketed show.
The gallery presents van Eyck as the painter who set portraiture on a new course through close attention to realistic detail. A programme of talks, courses and workshops runs alongside it, and some sessions are already fully booked.
